Uptravel is an innovative platform designed to connect users with global job and travel opportunities. The application offers a range of features, including the ability to sign up and sign in, search for jobs and travel destinations, post personal job/travel listings, and manage user profiles. Users can also view and edit their profiles to personalize their experience.
the application allows users to:
1. Sign up/Sign-in
2. Find jobs
3. Find travel places
4. Post your own job/travel places
5. User profile page
6. Users change their profile details, such as PFP, names.
Built using technologies like:
React.js, Styled-Components, SCSS, and Node.js
Challenges
Challenge 1: Encountered difficulties in displaying the user profile page due to a lack of understanding of API call methods.
Challenge 2: Faced challenges in making user posts visible on the home page.
Solution
To address the API issues, I consulted with the engineering team and explained the challenges in detail. With their guidance and a thorough review of the API documentation, we successfully resolved the problems, enabling the proper rendering of the user profile details and posts.
